car shuts off when put in drive. Can go in reverse.

My car shuts off when I put it in drive it can be reeved up and has no problem driving in reverse but as soon as I put it in drive it shuts off. I have replaced both the air and fuel filters but nothing has changed.

Hello, hard to say what's going on without a first hand diagnosis. In some ways, could relate to an automatic transmission issue, causing problems when you put it in Drive. Have a local technician help you look at this. Good luck.
