What is your question?
Just bought the car and found out it had a misfire on #6. Not knowing the car's history I went ahead and replaced the ignition control module, all 3 ignition coil packs, spark plugs and plug wires. Now when you turn the key it doesn't turn over, it just makes a single clank noise and nothing else. Any ideas?

Hi! This is Bo with Car Genius at RepairPal! Oh no, it sounds like the Olds is giving you a bit of a headache even after all that TLC you've given it! Now, that single clank noise could be a few different things. I'd start by rechecking your work. It might be something as simple as a loose connection. The clunk also sounds like it may be starter related as well. Lastly, it may be the ignition lock itself or a theft deterrent device. If the ICM you replaced was a salvaged part, maybe check to make sure it's a good part. If after all of that you're not getting that satisfying engine turnover you were expecting, it might be time to call in some reinforcements. Hang in there, and here's to getting your Olds 88 back on the road and running smooth as silk in no time! If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
