what causes traction off light to stay on sometimes and sometimes work properly?

This vehicle is front wheel drive i take it. If so there is a wiring harness by the wheels that sense wheel spinn than kicks the traction control on. This wiring harness was made to short and when the wheel turnes right to the left it weaks the wires on that sensor and causes it not work right correctly. It will probably cost you over $120.00 or up to get it fixed. Alot of newer cars have these problems also. So if your car a 96 model i would say it has done good.
