water pump/timing chain issue

What is your question?

I have a 2014 Nissan Xterra and wanted to change out the water pump and timing chain tensioner. I may have skipped the timing chain one tooth on the crank shaft. short of removing the timing chain cover to verify, is there any other way to determine if that is the case.
