Overheating during driving, cools back down at idle

Hello, was it overheating prior to the cooling system repairs made? What testing was performed to suggest the need for the repairs made? Have you ensured that the air pockets have been relieved from the cooling system following these repairs? Cooling fan issues affect low speed driving or air flow while the vehicle is stopped, so I'm not thinking that area.
