changed tps sensor and caused transmisson to go into safe mode

Did this work for you? My engine light came on with 121, 122, 123, 328 and 1705 codes, I replaced the knock sensor, but the tps sensor doesn't seem to be needing replaced. We adjusted it, but my car will only shift in 1st and 2nd gear, it will not go to 3rd gear. I need help, I have not noticed the transmission slipping before. My husband cleaned my throttle body because the idling was rough, but thats it, and he did that though the next day when I was headed out to work, I couldn't drive it out of the drive way. How did the transmission get screwed up from there if that is the case? Do I need a new transmission? please help me, I realize this thread is older, but its the only one that seems to have the same issue as my 2002 Nissan Xterra, 3.3L V6. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same car, and my car is having the problems that you have said, it will shift out of park, but will not shift once the car is driving, and if will not go above 2500 rpms, do you have any ideas about what I should do?
