2000 Xterra slipping and Overdrive fast idle from Park to drive shift into 2nd while not moving idles normal back into drive idles at 3000 RPM change TPS sensor no difference
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, you could very well have an internal mechanical concern with the transmission. A diagnostic tool will help see what gears are being called for and actual gears engaged when the problem is occurring. Changing parts is a bad idea without seeing what is going on.
