What is your question?
I recently replaced the fuel pump in my 2014 Nissan Versa S. I apparently didn't fully secure the fuel line connector. It came loose and the car cut off. I reconnected the fuel line to the pump properly. The car still doesn't start. Is there some sort of safety mechanism that may have been tripped because of the fuel leak. I have verified the fuel pump fuse is good.

No, no safety mechanism. But it may take a bit of time to "prime" the fuel rail - have you checked for fuel pressure at the fuel rail? If you do not have a fuel pressure gauge and do not know how to properly test this system, get a professional to assist. I'm not even sure why you replaced the pump in the first place -- a good question to ask. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
