What is your question?
I have a nissan versa 2008. I put the car in reverse and it cut off i tried to restart it after putting it in park and the car wont start or even try to start just a clicking noise. I know the car needs ignition coils and is due for an oil change. There was a burnt smell inside the car and the car engine has been jumping for at least 2 months now. The spark plugs have been changed. I would like to know what parts need to be bought or how it needs to be repaired. the lights and everything come on but its not even stuttering its just clicking.

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. It sounds like there could be multiple issues, and some of them are likely overlapping, resulting in some of the behaviors you've experienced. I would recommend having it evaluated by a qualified professional to determine the required repairs. The battery is the most likely suspect for the clicking noise when attempting to start the vehicle, though a failed starter could be part of the issue as well, possibly both. The ignition coils wouldn't result in a clicking noise, but they could contribute to the engine running poorly. Ultimately most of these things will require firsthand intervention to avoid wasting money on unnecessary parts and lost time and sweat equity.
