What is your question?
This started within the last three weeks. My gas tank does not register to full, only 3/4 full. I replaced the gas cap but problem persists.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It increases to almost full and settles to 3/4 after fill up.
How long has your 2007 Nissan TITAN had this problem?
I have had this problem approx. 3 weeks.

Hello, first, determine the source of your fuel gauge issue - either a sending unit, wiring or gauge problem. How are you accurately measuring fuel consumption? Some things like a dirty air filter, worn spark plugs, and driving habits are tough on fuel economy. The area where the biggest usage of fuel can occur is when there is an air / fuel mixture concern, causing the engine's computer to keep dumping fuel into the engine when it sees a ton of air coming into it, erroneously. This can be spotted by checking fuel trim readings on a diagnostic tool hooked up to your vehicle. All guesswork until hands on testing is performed.
It sounds like a sending unit problem. The float that sits inside of the gas tank sometime degrades overtime and starts to fill with gas. That being said it may be more cost effective to track the mileage off of your odometer for the next couple fill ups. That will be a lot easier than having to drop your gas tank.
