My car is not registering to my key fob

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. I am not entirely sure that your gauge issues are related to the locking issues. But it's really hard to say. I also don't know anything about your car, it's history, any physical damage, any modifications, any work that has been done recently. These are key bits of information that would assist in giving you some guidance on what may be happening. At the end of the day, though, advice doesn't replace hands on inspection at a shop near you by a trained technician. Then you'll get actual answers instead of guessing. The only thing I would suggest is to check the 12 volt engine's battery - is it too low in charge to start the vehicle and operate the instrumentation properly?
