Why did my Steering wheel fell off ? How can I fix it ?

It’s still attached just out of place and won’t lock unless I hook the steering wheel back into place! I can push it all the way forward and pull it out furter than it should go. It’s the same with up and down the wheel is able to move all the way out pushed all the way inn go as far as it can to the top and bottom! It is like it has fallen out of place ! Car also sounds like a car from fast and furious but that was from a rear ended hit (sound is coming from under cup holders in front seat)

What makes this problem better or worse?

It’s better when positioned into place then able to lock
