What is your question?
Backstory: My husband ran over something significant, doing great damage to the right front of the car: today struts being replaced, as well as motor mounts (!). In the meantime, and before we made a major move 5 years ago, I insisted we have a brake job on our squealing brakes (car was nearly 5 yrs old at that time, w/major city & highway driving). He said he had the brakes done. Outcome: no difference in brake performance or squealing. Believe husband lied, as he has done before. Fast forward to now-car is 9 years old, squealing worsens, I'm on the highway, must brake, left front brake shudders in the extreme and the car veers toward the next lane. All I could do to keep it in my lane as I had to stay on the brakes. Husband says I'm nuts-not brakes. Mechanic doing struts today says brakes OK. I say mechanic didn't even look at brakes. (We have had many, many cars in our long marriage. I know what brake shudder is. This IS brake shudder.) Can you help? Thank you so much!
