* Motor works both ways after removal. Could hear faint click from motor up or down switch when it was stuck but no movement.

Thank you for reaching out to Car Genius. If I am reading this correctly, the window is stuck in the up position but noises can be heard from motor and or switch. But when the motor is removed, it will work in both directions. The only times I have seen this is if the motor itself is stripped out internally, where when weight or pressure is applied, it skips or will not turn, but removing the load it will function ok. More often than not, the motor would need to be replaced. That said, taking it in for an official diagnosis would be the safest bet to save money in the long run.
