Air intake temperature sensor

I am not certain as to why there is a concern with the "air intake temperature sensor" - have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) and did you get one that refers to the air intake temperature? In any case, testing of the vehicle is required to see what is going on. Do not go off of codes as to a description of any failure - it's best to do the prescribed testing for the various systems before making any repair attempts. Also, engine performance with acceleration and fuel consumption as a general statement can be due to troubles with the fuel, ignition or air intake systems. A thorough analysis of these areas is needed to figure out what is going on.
