what would be the cause of my cluster shutting down for no apparent reason?

the car also started to die out for no reason and not holding an idle, it will sometimes start right back up and other times some time needs to pass and it will then fire right back up again, there seems to be a connection between the 2 problems, and this problem is much more noticeable when the weather is hotter and when the car has been running for a bit?

Change your signal switch to a brand new one and see if that changes things. You can get it on eBay for like $31
