What is your question?
I've replaced the dimmer switch a few times for my car, I've also cut off the plug that goes into the dimmer switch box and part of the wires and I keep having issues with the dashboard light going out. I was wondering if there is any other solution other than replacing all of the wires?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Pushing the white plug to the side of the dimmer switch makes the light turn on and stay on. If it's not pushed to that side, the light doesn't work.
How long has your 1998 Nissan Sentra had this problem?
Since I bought the car

This could be a circuit board issue but we won't know for sure without a hands-on inspection. Some electrical testing is required so if you need to find a shop near you, use this link. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
