i need info on problem light in speed ometer panel,

i have a light on, it says dd off. what does this mean?

There is a light I know of that says "OD off" to indicate the overdrive is bypassed. There should be a switch on (or near) the shifter to turn the O/D back on. The light is not flashing is it?
