Hi! My car is a 1989 Nissan Sentra 4 dr sdn. It has power, starts, etc., but when I go to shift it into gear, it shifts but it isn't going into gear. Is this the linkage, and if yes, is it easy to fix? Please let me know ASAP as I need to get her up and running. What a trooper. Over 300,000 and she is still getting me where I need to go.(Except for now that is! lol) Thank you for letting me know. I look forward to hearing from you. Kristen

I assume it's an automatic. Could be linkage. How's the fluid look? Call Contra Costa Auto Service in Concord and see if they can help.

Yes, it is an automatic and the transmission fluid is good. Do I ask for anyone in particular at Contra Costa Auto Service in Concord? Do you know if the linkage is difficult to fix? Do you know how to do it? Once again, thanking you in advance for your help with this issue. Kristen
