What is your question?
My friend installed a Brand new differential yesterday 0 miles. The thing with the boots on it keep falling out and there’s a knocking every few feet that will go away for a few seconds then come back after a turn. Is it a cv joint or the ring and pinion? I don’t think it’s the differential so please other options are preferred, did I not tighten something right? Too much too little? I think it’s a cv joint that goes into the sides of the differential but I really don’t know and by the video of the sounds it sounded like a cv joint but idk where that is XD. Seems to go away after a right hand turn. There’s brackets under the diff off to each side are they supposed to hold the things in the differential or just extra support?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Speeding up makes the knock go faster
How long has your 2016 Nissan Rogue had this problem?

I'm sorry it's completely impossible to know what's going on without hands on inspection. Replacing a differential is a big deal -- but how could anyone know if it was installed properly without looking at it? There's unfortunately nothing to guess at; a physical inspection is essential. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops That's a link to find a shop near you that can help.
