What is your question?
When putting key in Ignition, lights came on, no clicking or grinding sound just a higher pitch of car trying to start. After several tries applied accelerator and car started. No warning lights are on and has started normal since. Is the starter going bad?
How long has your 2015 Nissan Rogue had this problem?
Just happened

The starter does not have any correlation to the accelerator pedal. What you are describing is a circumstance when your engine appears to have been "flooded" with too much fuel somehow. By applying the accelerator to the floor, you stop fuel supply -- and the engine was able to start. Why the engine flooded is something unknown; if it should happen again, testing should be performed.
