The shop was impatient in wanting to hold my car hostage until paid forcing me to pay out of pocket and telling me to ask for reimbursement. At the time of repair there was an error with my repair pal account that was later fixed, the shop than told me they could not submit a claim after the fact and that I needed to do so. Is that possible and how do I do so? I know this repair is a covered issue, that was confirmed, the issue is how do I get reimbursed if the shop won't help me.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, this forum is for auto maintenance and repair mechanical questions - so no one here can help with this question. I will suggest, however, to review your copy of the insurance contract you are referring to and contact them for further information, and to act in your best interests in recovering the money you feel you should not have paid.
