The noise only starts once the air has been on for a while. Turn it off and back on runs for a while then might or might not happen again
What makes this problem better or worse?
When I turn the air off for a min and back on noise stops

Hello, This sounds like you have a mode door or blend door actuator that is beginning to fail, and the noise that would make would be a forced humming or a clicking. Blend and mode doors are in the A/C ducts and channel the right temperature of air to the right place, according to what you select on the panel. After running for a few minutes, your air conditioner or heater has likely met the temperature you set, and is attempting to blow out a different temperature of air, or move air to another location. Of course, diagnostics are needed, especially if this is not the sound you are getting.
Had the same problem with my Rouge. It was a faulty blower motor. I replaced it and is good now
