What is your question?
Along with the revving engine going upwards of 4-5000, there is little to no acceleration felt and even when it's revving high and accompanied by a labored whining, fan/timingbelt sound from the engine. The temprature outside can be hot or cold and it doesn't seem to matter if I'm at an incline or flat road. I've read that there are common issues with the CVT Transmission especially in hot weather or going up steep inclines. I experienced this issue once in 102 degrees during the Summer. But now it is happening each time I drive in 50-70degree weather. The car has about 160k miles on it. This just started happening a few days ago. What would you think it could be? We are expecting our child and obviously need to get a child safe vehicle.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It happens randomly and doesn't seem to matter if it's an incline or what the outside temprature is.
How long has your 2010 Nissan Rogue had this problem?
Experienced it during the summer once, but it's been ongoing each drive for a few days now.

Hello, this sounds like a sustained, consistent failure of the CVT transmission engagement and operation. The only thing, at all, that I can speak to is the fluid. Has the fluid been serviced recently? If it was, are you certain the correct fluid was used? I'd visit with the repair facility to ensure this is accurate. If the fluid has not been serviced, I'd at least give that a shot before seeking more significant diagnostic testing and repairs. Good luck. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
