What is your question?
Lately I've been having this problem in which I put my key in the ignition and crank it to start but the engine does nothing at first. Upon switching off and retrying it shortly after the engine will then respond by starting up normally. Although when it starts I have noticed a very loud noise it's almost like a gargling metal sound it's hard to describe. When I first encountered any car trouble I had the alternator and car battery replaced, even had problems with the engine oil cooler and had that repaired as well. It held up nicely until now. The starting issues have kept me from getting to work and home at times. It's as if sometimes the weather plays a factor. My rogue now has 150k miles at this point I'm afraid it could be anything from the starter to the fuel pump but I'm no car expert which is why I'm here. My money is tight therefore I'm only willing to fix the problem if I know exactly what it is. Any help would be very much appreciated thank you kindly.

hard to say without diagnosing the issue. it does sound like the starter or flexplate consider your are hearing a sound during startup but this is obviously an assumption and site unseen
