radio won't come on, replaced and still won't

radio would not come on, would restart engine and sometimes it would come on and then other times it would come on randomly as I was driving. Now it won't power on at all. Replaced with a used unit and couldn't get it to come on at all. checked fuse and they are good

What makes this problem better or worse?
