Earlier this week when I would come to a complete stop the speedometer would display 45m.p.h. Yesterday , when at a complete stop it would display 80 m.p.h. At 20mph it would read 100m.p.h., at 40mph it would read 120 m.p.h.
What is your question?
The transmission seems to be shifting fine. No odd noises. The speedometer needle does not come back to zero.( when at a full stop the needle reads 80m.p.h. Going forward, 100 on the speedometer seems to be about 20 m.p.h. as per the true vehicle speed.
How long has your 2007 Nissan Quest had this problem?
Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010.
Sounds like you have a speedometer issue more than a speed sensor issue. Hands on testing is needed to get into the cause of failure.
