just had car in shop for brakes have had atapping noise loader when cold but it still has noise.mechanic says it is normal i just want to be sure van has 76000 miles on it. thank you

This engine has valve clearance that are adjustable with various thickness "buckets" Its a big job to adjust them but that could be the noise. Have someone familiar with that engine/make of car look at it and say the noise is normal or not. Check it for oil and change the oil frequently.
