Suspect shifter 'key off' lockout solenoid is sticking and not releasing key .. Try spraying WD-40 liberally into shifter cavity while shifting from park to low and back several times... Key off lockout must see shifter in 'park' before key will turn all the way off so it can be removed... With straw attached to WD-40 can, spray some into key slot cavity as well... Compressed air from 'shop' air compressor blown into shifter cavity may help.
It's a automatic and I don't have a small button. Thanks for responding
