Hi, I'm Bogi, one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! That's definitely a frustrating situation especially after just having it looked at. On your 2023 Nissan Pathfinder, a TPMS reading showing "---" typically means the system is not receiving a signal from that particular tire's sensor rather than just indicating low pressure. The fact that it showed up on one tire, was fixed at the shop, and then appeared on a different tire shortly after is a pretty telling pattern and suggests there may be more going on than just a single faulty sensor. A few possibilities worth considering are a failing or dead TPMS sensor battery in multiple wheels, a sensor that was damaged during a recent tire rotation or service, or possibly a TPMS control module that is having trouble consistently communicating with the sensors. These kinds of intermittent communication issues can sometimes point to a software or module issue as well. Given that this is a 2023 vehicle it may still be within its factory warranty, I’d strongly recommend taking it back to your Nissan dealership and making sure they are aware that the problem has now moved to a different tire after their initial repair.
