Hello, Under the hood there are little rubber seats somewhere around the top of the headlights, as well as the latch(es) for the hood, These two work in combination to keep hold the hood tightly in position while it is closed. If it has become unadjusted, you will notice lines between the hood and fenders will be uneven, where the hood sits lower or higher than the fender when looking straight across from the side of the SUV. To correct this, it may be necessary to raise the rubber bump-stops, adjust the hood latch, or even repair the hood latch, as it may not be fully engaging. In either event, this may represent a dangerous scenario where the hood is not latched, or the latch is faulty, and the issue should be corrected before continuing operation of the vehicle.
