What is your question?
Additionally, it would appear that the throttle body sensor and the app sensor aren't communicating like they should because my suv goes into limp mode as soon as I try to accelerate. I cannot begin to comprehend why the app sensor is on back order for such a long time. Is it even possible to fix these issues without putting a new app sensor in?
What makes this problem better or worse?
if you come to a complete stop once it's in limp mode, then you can drive it albeit slowly
How long has your 2014 Nissan Pathfinder had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It’s frustrating to hear that your accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor is on back order for 6-8 months—that’s a long time to be dealing with limp mode! The APP sensor communicates with the throttle body sensor to manage engine acceleration, and if they’re not syncing properly, it’s no wonder your SUV goes into limp mode. Unfortunately, it’s tricky to bypass or fix the communication issue without replacing the faulty APP sensor, since it's a key part of the system. However, you could try checking the wiring and connectors between the APP sensor and throttle body sensor to rule out any loose connections or corrosion, which can also cause these communication issues. In the meantime, you might want to search salvage yards or online marketplaces for a used APP sensor from another Pathfinder. It’s not ideal, but it could get you out of limp mode sooner while waiting for the new part.
