Why is the tires warning light stay on,when pressure is corrected?

I had a similar problem. Outside temperature "IS" a factor that will affect the tire pressure sensor. If you are in the cold, the light will stay on even if you have the correct tire pressure. Try to put the car in a garage if you can, or just wait for warmer weather and recheck the tire pressure light, it should have gone off.

A faulty tire pressure sensor can cause the low tire light to say on. It could also be that the system needs to be reset after a tire rotation has been done, your owners manual should have the relearn procedure to be completed after a tire rotation. If all else fails you may need to check the tire pressure monitor module for fault codes using a scan tool. Any stored fault codes will need to be diagnosed and repaired.
