Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sorry to hear you are having troubles with your 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. It is very common for the AC to quit working if the engine is in danger of overheating, the brain of the car does this to protect itself as the AC causes an extra load on and engine that it already vulnerable. The fact that you were able to fill it up and it is no longer overheating is a great sign. However I would still recommend taking it to a shop to have it inspected to check for leaks. The last thing you want is to risk it running out of coolant and overheating again. These engines are very susceptible to blown head gaskets and other damage from overheating, so better to be safe than sorry and get it checked out.
