I have a sudden surge between 40 and 42 mph. It is not a jerk but very noticable. What could be causing this sudden surge?

Hello ,, im assuming that this is the only time you are getting a surging is between that speed .. If your vehichle is equipped with an overdrive button ,, try turning it off , and see if the problem goes away,, that is the speed in witch the transmission shifts into overdrive,, witch is called a torque converter shuddur,, if after turning the overdrive button off and the problem goes away , then have your transmission flushed and add a trans fluid modifier solution with the rgulat trans fluid
