can't get my 2002 pathfinder to start after replacing fuel pump and filter.
What is your question?
engine cranks but wont start. ive checked all electrical connections and still im getting no fuel in the lines. never had an issue with starting vehicle before. has 240000 miles on it. its throwing a P0420 code and recently im getting a rattling noise from cat but would this keep my vehicle from all of a sudden not turn over?

yes I have power going to the fuel pump connector but when I turn key on I don't heaqr the fuel pump energizing. do I have to prime the fuel pump? If so, how do I do that?. I have also checked the fuel pump relay and that is good as well as the fuel pump fuse. There has never been any major work done under the hood in where any electrical connectors may have been moved or damaged in any way as well as any electrical wires to cause a possible short. yes I did replace the fuel filter also. could it be the crankshaft position sensor or the camshaft position sensor? If so, how do I determine which one and how do I test it? thanks in advance for any advice . It is very much appreciated.
to prime the pump, you turn the key to on for 5 seconds and then off for 5 seconds, 3 or 4 times, not cranking, only to the on/run position! if you have power and ground at the fuel pump connector when the key is turned to the ON/RUN position and the pump does not come on and run/prime/humm for 2 seconds and then it cuts off, then the new fuel pump is bad. WHY did you replace the fuel pump?
