How do I turn the ac off?

Your air conditioning compressor operates along with most of the ventilation system functions. Turning your fan to the off position will shut the entire system off. But your compressor is set to operate most all the time; perhaps vent or floor settings would be something to try if you want to avoid the compressor operating.
