THE DEALER TOLD ME THE MISMATCHED TIRES (2 5/32 AND 2 BRANDNEW 16/32)IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE TRANSMISSION THAT WAS REPLACED IN 2006 JUST BEFORE 100K MILES. I FEEL LIKE THE TIRE DEALER SHOULD NOT HAVE DISCOUNTED MY CONCERNS ABOUT WHAT MY MANUAL SAID ABOUT MISMATCHED TIRES ON A 4X4 VEHICLE.

As far as i know,mismatched tires wouldnt destroy thr transmition,however having mismathched tires from front to resr will give a gear ratio difference from front to rear,putting your transfer case in a bind.
