my 90 pathfinder wont start the code it gives is a knock sensor i did a compression check and it only has 60 pounds all cylinders r about the same could it b the timing belt or jumped time

Very possible, 60psi is to low the engine won't start. You can do a wet compression test, add a once of oil to each cylinder. Note all new pressure readings, if you get a lot higher reading you have bad rings. Not much of a change, means you have problem in the heads. Could be valves do to timing or head gaskets. Next check your timing marks, if off replace the timing belt.
thank u for your time . i found the problem the timing gear on the crank shaft sheared the key
