How do I change the front rotor. Does the wheel bearing have to be taken out?

Remove the brake pads, caliper and torque member. Remove the grease cap from the hub. Then remove the cotter pin and castellated nut. This allows you to remove the old rotor with the hub attached and bearings. No you shouldn't break anything.
