2011 Nissan Marano. Heater controls touchy

What is your question?

The driver and passenger temperature control knobs are very touchy. Sometimes when you try to lower the temp it goes up. It is almost impossible to set it to a specific temperature. The Radio volume know does the same thing. Turn the volume down it might get louder. Now the volume controls on the steering wheel work just fine.

What makes this problem better or worse?
