Hello, the fuel filter is not a normally serviced part, and it would be almost entirely impossible for it to be influencing the way the vehicle is running. On this model, it is located on the fuel pump. It would be best to have a diagnosis performed on the engine performance to determine what is happening and why the sputtering is occurring. A fuel, air and spark mixture concern is likely the culprit, perhaps an air leak causing air to get into the engine without enough fuel. All a guess, but hands on testing will determine what's going on. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
