I just replaced my alternator after putting the car back together I hooked the battery back up it sparked and the fusible link blew. I got a replacement. Placed the negative terminal on battery. Put the positive it sparked and blew the fusible link again. Not sure why than keeps happening

Hi, well - first thing is -- negative comes off first and goes on last. Never put the negative on first. Secondly, is something wired incorrectly? Fuse links are there for circuit protection; if it's blowing, there's a surge of some kind or something is not attached properly. Retrace your steps to see what is wired to what.
