What is your question?
Hi, I bought my fiancee an '04 Murano for Christmas. She has told me that she needs a remote to turn off the alarm, open the fuel door, etc. The dealer claims the gas cap can be opened via a lever inside, but her friends and her say this isn't so, and had to pry open the gas cap with a key. The dealer suggested I purchase a remote from a Nissan dealer ... uh, NOT gonna happen ... THEY will buy me one, or wish they were never born!!! Does the vehicle REQUIRE a remote??? Thank you!!! First, get your attitude under control if you want any cooperation from anyone who can help you. Next, try looking in the owner's manual for the information you need, that will be the most accurate. You bought a 6 year old used car from a used car dealer. The dealer owes you a fully functioning well checked out car that has good brakes and passes any state required inspections. He does not owe you Nissan remotes if he didn't get the car with them and the car is funtional without them. If the dealer says that the cascap can be opened from the inside, get him to show you how. If you want a remote after the purchase, and it wasn't included in the agreement, you need to find one yourself. You'll probably need to get it programmed by the Nissan dealer or a Nissan specialist. A Nissan dealer or specialist can tell you whether the car can be operated only by remote but that is not likely because remotes fail and then the car would be inoperative. first of all they should have gone over all this with you. the gas door only takes a light push fast release to open once you have unlocked all!!! be sure and turn the cap untill it klicks or the check engine light will come on.if you need another remote go online much cheeper and it comes with the instructions.
Thank you for the info., but the unnecessary personal advice wasn't needed, nor appreciated, Bob. I'm 47, NOT 7!
