My 2014 Nissan Maxima won't accelerate but rpm will go high. Only 52000 m help!

Check engine light came on. So i press the gas pedal but no acceleration only on the Rpms. The car slowly gets up to 40 mph. Then if I stop that's it car won't move. Only rpms.

Oops, sorry, I read 5200 miles, not 52k miles. Pushrod has an appropriate question re: transmission - standard? automatic? CVT? Not getting above 40 and the rpms going high likely indicates transmission problem. Take it to a competent shop that can diagnose the problem. We are here if you need us.
