My 2007 Nissan Maxima would make loud rattling noise when i was driving and all of a sudden my car started shaking and then it turned off and didn't want to start anymore

The rattling noise was coming from the front left side of the vehicle.The rattling noise became louder after driving it around.While I was driving my car started to shake and felt like it was running out of gas,When I pushed on the gas pedal the car wasn't going it just turned off,and I couldn't start it again,I thought it was my battery so i purchase a new battery still it didn't start,It felt like it wanted to but wasn't catching it.I haven't drive my car since then,with a new battery in my car I went out to try and start my car and my battery was dead which it couldn't be possible I just bought the battery
