Are both cooling fans supposed to run with the AC on

What is your question?

We recently had the fan assembly replaced on our 2001 Maxima because the driver side fan seized up. I noticed that the driver side still does not run with AC on. The mechanic replaced the assembly yesterday and I noticed that the same fan still does not run with AC on like my other two cars do.

Some vehicles do - some vehicles do not. However both fans should be on at some point - start engine and turn ac on - one fan should turn on pretty quickly - the other should turn on before engine overheats - that may take as long as 30 minutes..

As long as engine temperature remains in normal range and a/c is working - no worries.
