We dropped the trasmissikn last night to replace the clutch and when we put it back together it would crank and crank and crank but not start. Was not getting spark firing while cranking. Fuel Pump was working.

Find the wire connector to the crank sensor that's in the back of the engine... See if it's unhooked or wiring is damaged... Possibly pinched between trans bell housing and engine block..
There was a connector on the front of the block by the bell housing that we looked at but it was okay
Follow the wires from connector and check them as well, make sure ALL grounds are reconnected... Go back over your work, It's MORE than likely something you (or the installer) have created! .. Just so we're on the same page... Transmission IS in the 'back' of the engine! .. So is the *second* crank sensor...there are two crank sensors... the other is in FRONT of the engine where the crank pulley is ... passenger side..
