Lose power climbing hill. The sputtering minimizes when increasing acceleration could this be caused by bad spark plugs? Havn't replaced plugs in 4 years

How many miles on it? Is the check engine light on? If it's flashing , you're doing damage to the converter , also. Might want to (have it) diagnose , before buying parts that wont fix it.
definitely do a tune up, if the problem persists could be a fuel filter, air filter. if the problem still persists check your timing
thats why you look at stuff, im sure fowl plugs and bad filters are easy for most to diagnose themselves. plus if not done in a while its just a good thing to do.
And your point? No worries , if they even reply , then maybe we could actually be of some help , but as you'll find , about 90% don't bother. I agree with your response , just don't assume their mechanical 'savvy' when they are asking about a misfire , and we don't know if they know where to start. Know what I mean? Once you've seen enough posts with people listing hundreds of dollars in parts , and THEN they ask a question , .....Ya know??My end goal IS to save them money!
