What is your question?
Starting today 3/24, I noticed that when driving to work my car had a strange fume coming from the air vents. On the way back from work i smelled it again when driving and it was a very strong odor. I noticed that when I turned the ac off the smell went away. idk if its because no air flow was coming in or what, but i am worried it is an exhaust leak. I didn't hear any sounds coming from the car when I was driving but im scared to drive it to work tomorrow and j dont have money for a mechanic at the moment.
How long has your 2013 Nissan Juke had this problem?

Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! There are a few things that could be causing a weird smell when the ac is on. It may be that you only smell it when ac is on because of the airflow, like you suggested. So it’s worth playing with it to see if you still smell it when the fan is on but AC is off. If it's only with AC on and it has a kind of a chemical smell, it could be an ac refrigerant leak. These kinds of leaks you’ll notice most when first turning on the ac after the car has been off and then it tends to dissipate. If you smell it even with AC off and fan on, and it smells kind of musty - you may want to check and replace your cabin filter as a dirty filter can definitely cause some funky smells. If you smell something sickeningly sweet, smells like fuel, or exhaust gas, then you may be smelling something from the engine compartment and if that’s the case you don’t want to ignore it. Even if you don’t have funds to fix it right now, try and get someone to look at it to determine if it is safe to keep drive.
